This is my favorite sketch of The Schnoz, as he was affectionately called.  I remember his Vaudeville days when he danced around with his straw hat and cane and had everyone laughing with his one-liners.

Jimmy Durante was a landmark performer.  In an era when the world needed a little more brightening, he was a very bright star, indeed.

"Good night Mrs. Calabash, wherever you are!"
